Ruthless India trounce hapless Jamaica

Jamaica: If you thought that the Jamaican captain would have learnt from his mistake from the previous game when he asked India to bat first you are wrong. The toss once again fell in favour of the hosts and yet again they opted to bowl first but this time in the T20I. India opted to go with a new batting pair of Deepak Malik and Venkateswara Rao. The openers put on an 82 run stand for the opening wicket with Venkateswara reaching a well-compiled fifty. Jamaica tried to fight back in the middle with a couple of wickets. But all their efforts were in vain as the hero of the first ODI Sunil Ramesh walked into the middle and absolutely belted the bowlers all around the park as he bought up his century in double-quick time. India finished their innings with a humungous total of 286/3 in 20 overs.

Chasing this huge target, Jamaica was never in the hunt as they lost two wickets in the very first over to the Indian captain Ajay Reddy. Then onwards it was a downward spiral as they were unable to stitch together a meaningful partnership and were bundled out for a paltry 48. With this win, India takes a 1-0 lead in the two-match T20I series. We will be back playing the last ODI game tomorrow with the series already wrapped up 2-0 by India.
