Clinical India whitewash Jamaica

Jamaica: India whitewashed Jamaica 3-0 in the ODI series after beating the hosts by 9 wickets here in the third and final ODI in Kingston. Earlier in Jamaica won the toss and opted to bat first. Deepak Malik struck in the second over of the match removing Gregory Stewart for 3. From there on the hosts could never get a partnership together as they were bowled out for only 105 in the 23rd over. Deepak picked up 2 while Ajay and Sunil picked up 3 wickets each.

Chasing a small total India lost Pankaj Bhue in the very first over. But an astounding 84* from Venkateswara Rao of just 51 balls as India chased down the target in just 9.4 overs. With this win India head into the final game of the tour, the second T20I on Saturday high on confidence of completing a whitewash in the shortest format too.
