Andhra Pradesh outclass Kerala to make it three in a row

Last season’s finalists Andhra Pradesh powered past hosts Kerala on the back of a terrific unbeaten century by Ajay Reddy. In the last league game of the Kochi leg, Kerala won the toss and put Andhra in. The new ball bowlers justified the captain’s decision as they restricted the powerful Andhra line up to under six runs per over and picked up two wickets in the powerplay. Once the field spread out it was a one man show as Ajay Reddy put up a clinic as he notched up an unbeaten ton which enabled his team to reach 181 in their 20 overs.

Chasing a huge target, Kerala batsman succumbed to the scoreboard pressure as they lost wickets at regular intervals. In the end it was an anticlimactic game in which Andhra emerged as comfortable winners by 58 runs. Both these teams now head to Chennai to play their final two league matches from December 10th to 12th.
