Impressive Haryana book their place in the semis

Haryana cruised to a comfortable 111 runs victory over Madhya Pradesh and became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the second edition of IndusInd Bank Nagesh trophy. Earlier in the day Haryana won the toss and opted to bat first. Captain Deepak Malik and Rohit Sharma opened the batting for the hosts. They made a mockery of the new ball as they scored 81 runs in the powerplay. Things only got better from there as both the batsmen brought up their respective centuries as Haryana posted a mammoth score of 275 for no loss in their 20 overs.

Chasing an almost improbable target, Madhya Pradesh were never in the hunt as they lost wickets at regular intervals. By the 10th over mark they had already lost half their side. In the end the target was a daunting one and Madhya Pradesh fell short of the target by 111 runs. Haryana await the winner of the game between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha in the semifinal.
