Sri Lanka pull one back

Colombo: Sri Lanka beat India by 9 runs in the third T20I here today to reduce the margin to 2-1 in the 5 match T20I series. India won the toss and they put Sri Lanka into bat. The Sri Lankan batsman got off to a flier with their opening batsmen in the form of their life and ended up with a total of 190/8 in 20 overs.

Chasing a huge target India were always struggling as they lost wickets at regular intervals. All-rounder Sunil tried his best but the men in blue fell 9 runs short of the target.

With this win Sri Lanka make the series more exciting as they have reduced the margin to 2-1 with 2 games remaining. The world champions would want to wrap up the series when they take the field for the 4th game on the 24th where as the hosts will try and stay alive in the series. And not to forget it's a double header tomorrow and the series will be decided at all cost.
