Andhra win second game on the trot


Andhra Pradesh won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 228 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Dunna Venkateswara Rao was unbeaten on 107 of 55 Balls with 16 fours and a Six, while captain Ajay Kumar Reddy was unbeaten on 99 of 52 Balls with 16 boundaries, both put on an unbeaten 193 Runs for the fourth wicket. Maharashtra Swapnil Wagh took 2 for 38 in 4 overs and Sunil Rathore took 1/39. In reply Maharashtra were all out for 49 Runs in 10.5 overs as none of the batsmen reached double digits. Shivraj took 4 for 25 in 4 overs, Ajay Kumar Reddy took 3 for 11 in 3.5 overs. Dunna Venkateswara Rao and Durga Rao took a wicket each with Andhra Pradesh winning the match by 179 Runs.

The first phase of the league was concluded with a formal closing ceremony.
