INDUSIND BANK WOMEN’S NATIONAL T20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT FOR THE BLIND – 2022

Women’s Blind Cricket, though in its nascent stage, has States in India like Jharkhand, Odisha, Delhi, Kerala and Karnataka, playing cricket for the last 3 to 5 years. Women with Disability and blindness are most marginalized and their needs are hardly addressed. Ever since Samarthanam Trust took the responsibility of managing blind cricket in 2010, it created a separate entity called Cricket Association for the Blind in India to revive men’s cricket. With much effort and time invested, Women’s cricket for the blind has started happening.

Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot inaugurated the IndusInd Bank Blind Cricket National Conclave -2022 today at The Chancery Pavilion. Dr. Mahantesh G.K, President of CABI and Founder Managing Trustee, Samarthanam, thanked the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot for his presence and inspiring words and thanked the distinguished Guests Ms. Matilda Lobo, Head- CSR, IndusInd Bank, Ms. Anna Shotbolt, Deputy Trade Commissioner South Asia for Investment & Deputy High Commissioner, Ms. Anne Seshadri, Counsel for Public Affairs, U.S. Consulate, Shri Anil Parmar, Vice President, Community Investment, United Way Mumbai and Shri Syed Kirmani, Former Indian Cricketer, for their presence.
